My earliest memory of baking was baking and decorating sugar cookies with my mom before every holiday. I recall making egg shaped sugar cookies the week before Easter, and then icing them to look like Easter eggs. We would wrap up the sugar cookies and include them in Easter baskets, and enjoy the rest after EAster dinner. I especially loved making sugar cookies with mom at Christmas time. I have such vivid memories of sitting with my whole family decorating tree shaped sugar cookies and then enjoying them on Christmas eve with hot chocolate and "It's a Wonderful Life." Read more...
